My client is an independent,award-winning Health Science consultancy providing communications services to the healthcare industry, professional societies and patient groups. Their clients choose them because they provide the highest level of quality, the deepest level of therapy area experience and the most compelling approaches to evidence communication.

As a videographer and editor, you will record and edit high-quality and impactful video and audio content both remotely and onsite.

Key duties/responsibilities as their Videographer/Editor:

• Record and edit a wide range of high-quality video and audio content both remotely and in-person, for a variety of types (interview, presentation) and end-uses (website, social media, events).
• Edit and output content that reflects the company’s high-quality standards, aligning it to them and brand guidelines before publication as their Videographer/Editor
• Craft motion graphics and animations to sit within video content.
• Provide your expertise when projects are defined; ensuring all considerations are accounted for in the project specification.
• Assist with digital ‘knowledge management’ within the business and team; helping to improve upon existing practices and processes and educating others as their Videographer/Editor
• Work with project managers to provide practical input for planning time estimates and equipment hire based on the scope of the project discussed. Keep to the agreed time estimate and, deadlines; ensuring any concerns are raised to the project manager with suggested solutions to approach where required.
• Continually develop technical skills appropriate to the role and remain current with regards to industry and design trends.
• Set up all equipment needed for each shoot including cameras, audio recorders, microphones, lighting, and all backdrops/props, or remote-recording environments
• Subtitle short video content using either SRT or hardcoded captions as their Videographer/Editor
• Troubleshoot and care for in-house equipment to ensure that it remains readily available for use.
• Travel for filming as required as their Videographer/Editor

Knowledge as their Videographer/Editor: (training/education/experience)

• Strong previous experience in a professional, postproduction or agency environment.
• Degree qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. post-production or motion design) preferable but not essential.
• Proven experience of remote and live video and audio recording.
• Working proficiency with motion graphics.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Software such as After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, Photoshop, Audition.
• Knowledge of third-party plug-ins, digital video and audio file formats and streaming media encoding.
• Good working knowledge of colour grading and sound mixing.
• Pharma/healthcare experience beneficial but not essential.

Skills as their Videographer/Editor:
• Work effectively in both an independent way and as part of a team. • Ability to edit video content for multi-platform use and distribution, including online, “live” and social media channels.
• Able to work to a high level of accuracy and technical ability.
• Ability to select and edit music to complement video projects.
• Able to key greenscreen environments.
• An ability to pick up existing projects and adapt quickly to different ways and approaches to work.
• You can manage stakeholders and process tricky client feedback, incorporating it quickly, as well as prioritising and adapting to ever-changing demands.
• Able to deliver quality work for a range of client deliverables with competing deadlines.
• Able to quickly adopt and learn new technologies to support client deliverables, working with team to create associated working principles for usage.
