Middleweight Designer - Hospitality / Hotels

A mid-sized studio with an eye-catching style for both luxury residential and hospitality interiors is seeking a middleweight interior designer to join their hospitality projects team.

The successful designer will be collaborating across interior projects from initial concept through to development, detailing, FF&E specification, and delivery of final stages with the wider team.

This is a superb opportunity for someone who loves to be involved in every stage of the design process and is looking to take that next step in their career development.

Offering a desirable package, the position requires the candidate to be in studio five days a week, with half day on Fridays!

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting senior designers on projects from concept development to completion
• Design research to develop creative design concepts and presentations
• Development of design ideas by way of freehand sketches and visuals
• Production of drawing packages for spatial planning skills, with good knowledge of design detailing and specifications for hospitality interiors
• Sourcing and procurement of FF&E packages specifications, and schedules
• Confident to work independently and communicate with clients, suppliers, and contractors
• Attend site meetings

Skills and Experience:

• Hold the right to work in the UK
• BA in Interior Designer, Interior Architecture
• Have a strong design portfolio demonstrating experience in the hospitality sector. Previous experience with a leading London practice is desirable.
• The successful candidate must be completely fluent in AutoCAD and be able to work accurately and quickly. Other software requirements: SketchUp, Photoshop and InDesign
• Be able to work in a collaborative team, be proactive and self-sufficient.
• Highly organised, understands project programming and deadlines
