My client are looking for a mid-weight to senior designer to join their busy studio in London (working in the office as much as possible) working on a diverse range of events, exhibitions, and experiential projects.
They do lots of temporary installations, pop up stores and experiential design – and LIVE EVENTS!
 
There work is beautiful and very creative.
 
Apart from experiential they do lots of pop up boutique stuff for high end clients, it is nearly always temporary installations.
They have just pitched for the Regent street xmas decorations before and always do Covent garden displays – do you have experience with this type of thing?
 
It is taking a design and interpreting it into that space, someone really conceptual and strong in this area.
 
Their events are very heavily themed and quite theatrical
 
It’s quite a technical role – using sketchup

The successful designer will be able to take on a wide variety of design challenges incorporating Spatial, Interior, Exhibition, Event and Experiential design.

Recent projects have included a public exhibition for a global jewellery brand, a HNWI private party, a pop-up luxury retail space, a beach club, a desert island villa, a global fragrance launch experience, to name but a few.

A high level of organisational skill is required, as well as the ability to manage multiple events and projects in unison.
 
Main duties as their designer:
•Creating innovative design concepts and client presentations as their designer
•Visualise concepts and collaborate with the internal design team to bring engaging spaces to life
•Produce very well curated mood-boards to support concepts as their designer
•Commenting on technical packs and detailed drawings
•Attending site visits and overseeing production
•Liaising with clients, contractors, and suppliers Skills and experience •Experience designing exhibitions, events, interiors, retail spaces, ideally within an event / production agency
•Experience managing/working on projects from conception to completion as their designer
•Ability to work well under pressure, prioritise and meet deadlines •Self-motivated, focused, and able to get on with the tasks at hand •Strong teamwork ethic and ability to communicate clearly and effectively with the team at all levels
•Strong client facing presentation skills as their designer
•Must be experienced with Adobe, Sketchup and other 3D software •Proficiency in CAD an advantage as their designer

•Salary dependant on experience but circa 40K

•This role is predominantly studio based in London
