Senior Designer - Packaging/Brand World
Senior Designer with great brand ID and Packaging
We are looking for a new senior designer to join a small-to-medium (but growing – and you would be part of that growth) branding agency in the consumer branding world, who may not have been around for more than a few years, but who are making a real impact and a dent in the client lists of the long-established agency world! We know there are a lot of agencies looking for people at the moment, but this one is one of the really excellent places to work.
They’re creatively-driven – yes they have a strategist or two of course - but creativity is of huge importance to them (their founder is a designer), with a lot of “oomph” in terms of ambition to be the best. And over the last few years, they’ve won a number of excellent global and national brands from some of the “big boys” in London, based on their thinking and that all-important creative approach.
Current or recent clients include Billingtons, Asssociated British Foods, Beefeater, Double Dutch and Mazzetti – a lovely combination of big and smaller and premium and mainstream.
They definitely punch above their weight, but they don’t only work on big brands – they’re also making a name for themselves as the branding agency to go to for small start-up brands too, so variety here is one of the things you’d get.
As their new senior designer, you will be adding to their team, not replacing someone who is leaving (in fact not many do leave). And you’d be in good company, with an excellent Creative Director, a nurturing Design Director, and other seniors/midweights to work along side you.
And you will get to work with their clients longer-term – so yes, they work on the branding and packaging, but they are increasingly asked to look at how those brands work in retail, advertising, digital and other environments/experiences as well, so if you haven’t done this before but would like to, now is your chance. But you’d have others in the agency who know how to work in these different fields to learn from – you would not be thrown in with no help!
You could already be at senior designer level in a consumer branding/packaging agency, or you might be an experienced midweight level, and feel you’ve hit a ceiling, but know that you’re ready to move up to senior designer even if you have to move on to achieve it.
They have a very cool studio space in East London, and they are open to a hybrid part-from-home/part-from-the-studio way of working going forwards for the longer term.
