JOB DESCRIPTION: Designer
Based in London with some remote working an option
Full-time and part-time applicants will be considered
Role:
As a key member of the communication team, you will use your design skills to ensure that all IARD materials are simple and accessible, including supporting with the IARD website.
You will:
- Have a good knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe, Mailchimp
- Be passionate about simplifying complex concepts through design
- Have keen eye for detail
- Have a strong understanding of both print and online
- Be at ease with websites and be familiar with content management systems
- Have excellent artwork skills for print and able to spec to final finish

Designer Responsibilities:
- Producing finished design work for IARD – to include research reviews, infographics, toolkits, reports, e-mails etc.
- Translating strategic direction and brief into high-quality designs within an established brand identity
- Developing concepts for new materials and infographics using our branding guidelines
- Designing toolkits that are easy to use with infographics that can be used across social media
- Working with team members on developing short animated infographics and videos
- Working with web developers to ensure that the IARD website is kept up to date and information is uploaded
- Understanding on how best design can be used to communicate with an international audience
Skills, knowledge and experience required
- Good communicator and team member with a self-starting attitude
- Experience of translating complex concepts into easy-to-understand designs and infographics
- Turning technical data into easy-to-understand graphs and charts
- Experience of working with, and managing, websites and website developers
- Experience of working as part of a comms function
- Meticulous attention to detail
