T H WHITE is an engineering services group that’s been helping customers get the best from machinery, land and buildings since 1832, with operations in various machinery sectors alongside grain processing and storage, energy, fire and security systems and EV charge point infrastructure. We promote our machinery and services using 18 websites, 26 social channels, digital and print communications, events, mobile and fixed signage to reach audiences. We consider ourselves innovators in the machinery dealer space and seek a new in-house senior graphic designer to join the team.

We are looking for a talented individual with proven design skills to conceptualise, design and deliver creative solutions, and finished artwork enabling marketing activities through on and offline channels.  This includes print collateral, vehicle livery, signage, and advertisements, website and social media design, photography, and video editing alongside developing case studies and testimonials

PRIMARY - Artwork creation:

  • Understanding corporate identity and how to deploy this in design
  • Researching and creating design concepts
  • Creating, editing, and delivering artwork
  • Image sourcing, processing, and manipulation

SECONDARY -  Copywriting

  • Interviewing subjects to build stories, identifying story lines/hooks to engage readers
  • Researching product content to build editorial features
  • Ability to generate article and advert headlines that cut through the competition

About you

You’ll need the following essential skills and experience:

  • Trained in graphic design - full working knowledge of the Mac OS and Adobe software programmes including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Strong background in the creative sector, with a specific focus on graphic design
  • Familiarity with print processes and the ability to produce artwork to suite a wide range of applications including high quality print, outdoor and exhibition display, and online platforms
  • Full understanding of all digital file formats and their appropriate use for the desired outcome in different projects
  • Proven track record of working as part of a team in a busy design environment, with a natural ability for problem solving
  • Good command of English grammar and a flair for writing copy
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise to meet deadlines
  • Full UK Driving Licence and flexible to travel on business

Ideal technical skills and experience:

  • Ability to co-ordinate all parts of the creative mix and pull them together to achieve unified project outcomes
  • Knowledge of WordPress content management system
  • A basic knowledge of Adobe Premier Pro would also be advantageous
  • Sourcing and procuring photos with appropriate copyright clearances
  • Competent photographer, with experience in making and editing videos
  • Passion for design
