Midweight or Senior designer, Drinks branding/packaging

Are you a designer in the branding/packaging agency design world, currently working with a mix of fmcg, drinks and other brand projects (brand identity and packaging, not product design), but with a particular love for working on wine/spirits brands?

If so, this role could be a great next step for you.

This client is actually a large drinks brandowner, which has its own creative agency.  And the designers in that team work from concept to final design for all their drinks brands.  This is NOT about implementation only!

Those brands might be a cognac or a sparkling wine or a vodka, or indeed some other type of spirit.  Some of their brands are global, some are in specific countries or regions, and some are very much at the luxury end, some a little more down to earth. But they have a very impressive stable of brands and geographic spread.

The Creative Director of the team comes from a branding agency background himself, so he leads projects in very much the way you would expect/want, rather than operating as some in-house teams do.  He’s looking for talent, conceptual excellence, and really importantly, a designer who loves their crafting too – a great concept that goes ahead with beautifully crafted type, for example, is what he wants. Sometimes you might also get to input on aspects like bottle shape/colour/style too.

This role could be for a midweight designer who wants a change, but still needs some nurturing/mentoring (the CD is happy to do this, and good at it too), or for a senior designer who wants to focus more on drinks than on, say, laundry or loo rolls!

And the studio is central-London based.

There is a good benefits package, with health insurance, 25 days holiday, and a performance-based bonus, and salary will depend on level, but we’re talking a range from £35,000 to £55,000.

Does this appeal?  If you have just a bit of alcoholic drinks experience, then please do get your cv and folio pdf over ASAP as this is very much live right now!
