Hallgarten Wines has 85 plus years of experience in the UK wine trade. We market and sell over 1,200 wines from some of the greatest wine producers in the world through our strong sales team to all sectors of the UK trade - restaurants, hotels, independent wine merchants and national multiples.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a skilled and driven graphic designer who will always think outside the box to create attention-grabbing design assets. The successful candidate will work as part of a team with two other designers, supporting the Hallgarten Wines sales and marketing teams, helping to achieve the company’s goals of creating industry-leading printed and digital materials. Applicants should have previous design experience and be highly proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud software; previous web design experience is desirable.

 

Main Purpose

The design and production of high-quality marketing and sales support materials.

To support the Marketing and Portfolio teams, designing a variety of creative assets that projects a premium and motivating image of the Hallgarten business, and its suppliers, to external stakeholders.

To support the Sales teams, providing creative assets for customers in the hospitality and wine retail sectors, enabling them to better reach their customer base and help grow their business.

 

Primary Responsibilities 

To design a wide variety of printed and/or digital materials, including:

Customer wine lists

Hallgarten brochures and other publications

Customer Marketing and Training material/assets

Creative assets to fuel growth across social media accounts

Event materials, including (but not limited to) – invites, tasting books, signage.

Point of Sale materials

Creative support on the Hallgarten website.

KPIS

Responding to a brief and, where appropriate, providing a range of options to help determine best creative route.

Efficient delivery of high quality creative assets.

Challenging of print quotes from third parties to ensure optimum value for money.

Managing stakeholder expectations of delivery timings.

Strong team ethic of support and continual improvement.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours

Functional

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, including but not limited to:

Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Illustrator

Behavioural

Creative flair, with a finger on the latest design trends and eagerness to think creatively outside the box.

Ability to prioritise tasks and juggle stakeholder requests.

Keen attention to detail.

Team player.

Excellent inter-personal communication skills and the ability to interpret briefs.

 

Experience & Qualifications

Previous experience in Design essential.

Web design experience desirable.
