Digital Delivery Lead
Our client is a brilliant digital agency who have been growing at a steady rate, even through lockdowns. They are currently at ~25 heads, spanning developers, project management, creative/design and an operation/support team. The core thing they deliver is web platforms of all shapes and sizes, from ecommerce platforms to fully responsive websites, intranets to native apps. What they don't do is content, banners, digital campaigns.
They've got a really nice set of clients, and the entire team are client facing from the outset - they take real pride in how collaborative their teams are, the transparency of their client relationships, and their brilliant staff retention rate. This agency has a great approach to remote working - they sometimes work together on zoom, have virtual coffees as often as possible, and have an excellent training and support problem to help people when the stresses and strains of lock down life take their toll. All in all, a strong culture which puts their people first.
One of their team is now going on mat leave, so we're hiring somebody to cover them with a 1 year fixed term contract.
What You'll Be Doing
This one isn't a massively hands on project management role - you're focus will be more on taking a holistic, programme level view of work with a holistic oversight of timelines, budgets and reporting across the wider project management team.
In your day to day you'll be:
- Supporting the wider PM team with scoping work and gathering requirements.
- Managing budgets, timelines and resource plans across the delivery function.
- Stopping for a coffee and a catch up with the team.
- Working closely with your clients to make sure they up to date with project developments.
- Working with UXers, developers and QAs in the production phase to make sure agency resource is being used and allocated efficiently. All of this is in house.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with solid project delivery experience, ideally with a heavy leaning towards CX and platform build projects. Training in scrum / agile would be a big plus, though like many agencies they usually end up working in "wagile". Being comfortable with being client facing is important, so well developed communications skills will go a long way for this one.
They agency is now open five days a week, but there is zero pressure to go into the office though most of them are going in a couple of days a week just to catch up with the rest of team and be part of the day to day agency life and culture!
All the usual personality traits apply - we are after somebody who wants to roll their sleeves up and muck in with a tight knit, highly collaborative team.
