They are looking for an ambitious and talented Senior Interior Designer with 8+ years of experience working in luxury residential interior design. This role sits with the Interior Design team. Primarily working in super-prime residential projects, you will be working across all periods and styles of design, therefore strong design knowledge and experience will be key as will experience in project delivery.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Working to a brief, design and develop elements of projects from concept right through to completion
  • Preparation of concepts, mood boards, preliminary and final designs, and development of details, furniture, fixtures and lighting layouts
  • Attend client meetings in a confident, passionate and professional manner
  • Mentoring and directing junior and middle-weight designers
  • Attend regular site and supplier meetings and growing and nurturing relationships
  • Sourcing, specification and procurement
  • Preparation of drawings, presentations and material specifications
  • Work to tight deadlines both individually and as part of a larger team
  • Technical construction drawings
  • Conducting snagging list
  • Good budget control and time management


Technical skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint) required
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop)
  • Experience in AutoCAD and Esti-PC
  • SketchUp is useful but not essential
  • Free-hand sketching abilities also preferred but not essential

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to liaise with contractors, architects, suppliers and clients
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Enthusiastic and positive approach
  • Excellent visual eye and highly detail-orientated
  • Ability to work autonomously but also as part of a team
  • Hands-on and can hit the ground running
  • Practical knowledge and experience with furniture, fixtures and equipment
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • A willingness to work outside of contracted hours when required


Qualifications & Experience

  • To have a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Interior Design, Fine Arts or Interior Architecture
  • At least 8 years' experience of working in multiple, fast-paced, high-end residential and/or hospitality projects
  • Strong FF&E knowledge, including specifications and schedules
  • Previous client-facing experience
  • Full UK drivers' licence with access to own vehicle
