The agency on this one is an industry leading boutique of twenty, delivering work internationally for top tier brands in the world of entertainment and media. They've got a brilliant creative studio, hands on founders, and a tight knit culture which empowers every member of the team to have a voice and strike a good work life balance.
As they have been growing for the last year the studio is now at a size that they need a full time traffic manager to come on board and support the team.
The team are currently doing 2-3 days in the office, with the rest being remote.
What You'll Be Doing
This is the first time this office has had a traffic manager, so to an extent you will be able to shape the role around yourself - going through the usual process of understanding how the agency currently works, how process can support and streamline workflow, and then running the day to day resourcing for the agency.
You'll be responsible for:
- Monthly scheduling for the creative and design team
- Assigning teams to projects
- Keeping an eye on project timelines and budgets to ensure work is delivered efficiently
- Managing studio capacity, bringing in freelance support via 3rd parties where needed
- Helping to roll out a new resourcing tool (they haven't picked one out yet).
They are trying to keep this role laser focused on the core traffic management skill set but you'll probably end up getting involved in a few extra projects given the smaller size of the team, so get ready to roll your sleeves up!
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with the ability to embed themselves into an agency, understand the team's unique needs and workflow, and then design a better way of working. Naturally this means that we need someone with strong communication skills, a serious head for organisation, and a refined set of tools to understand how the agency can be run more effectively from a resourcing and project management standpoint.
A background in agency project, resource or traffic management is the most obvious place for this to come from, but we are open to people who have worked brand-side in a busy environment with multiple workstreams. If you have set up a role from scratch before, or helped to develop and implement process from scratch that would be a big plus for this one.
All the usual personality traits apply with this one - somebody who can support the design team while being firm on process, who is willing to wade in to process implementation, and of course be a positive part of the team. Again, strong communications skills are an absolute must.
