We're working with a globally renowned strategic consultancy with offices all over the world, blue chip clients, and a reputation for delivering large-scale transformation and branding projects. Globally they are around 1,000 people, with around 60 people in their London office.
The agency has a flexible and adaptable culture, with close collaboration across their multidisciplinary teams at the core of their business model. They put a real focus on looking after work / life balance, especially as they are a global business - spanning multiple time zones shouldn't mean outrageously long hours! They have a very well established team spanning design, design research, ethnography, strategy, business design, project management and then the usual operations (HR, finance etc.) but now they are looking to strengthen their programme delivery function with a 6 month contract.
What You'll Be Doing
We're looking for somebody to manage a programme of work for a well known fashion retailer spanning three core workstreams - diversity & inclusion, the future of the retail store, and a demand driven supply chain system.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with the client, keeping them involved in the programme of work with concise, clear updates.
- Managing client expectations.
- Onboarding new team members to the programme.
- Ensuring that the programme of work runs smoothly by removing blockers and redundancies, and working closely with the project team.
- Making sure that project finances and timelines are managed properly.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with an extremely calm and level headed approach, strong organisational skills, and clear verbal and written communication. The world of strategy that this agency inhabits can cause a lot of ambiguity in projects, so being comfortable with constantly shifting plans and difficult to define work is absolutely key. The ideal candidate will have a background of delivering projects of programmes of work for either strategic consultancy or design agency.
All the usual personality traits apply - we are after somebody bright, articulate and organised who wants to roll their sleeves up and muck in with a tight knit, collaborative and polished team.
