We are working with an award winning, creative agency who deliver strategy, and a real breadth of communications across editorial and reporting, through to Campaign, activation and content for a diverse client roster, and focus on sustainability. The agency is well established and has built a reputation based around its strategical approach, creative output and the emphasis it places on truly understanding the brands that they work with and their goals with regards to Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility. This allows them to produce exceptional work that is executed to the highest standard and has meant that they have retained clients as well as winning new ones year on year. They have an extensive and very high profile client list and a brilliant creative department, making this a really exceptional opportunity for an experienced CD or Creative Department leader.
The agency in question are looking for a talented and experienced Creative Director to work in a broad role that you can really make your own. You’ll be overseeing the creative and design output of the agency, managing and mentoring the Creative / Design team and leading by example with your own conceptual and design work. The CD will also love presenting and leading creatively with clients and enjoy developing those relationships as a key part of your role.
You’ll need to be extremely passionate about delivering brilliant narrative with creative routes, as well as the craft of the finished output. You’ll also be a real leader with the team under you to guide and inspire them to continuously improve and develop.
The agency has a good sized team including Midweight, Senior and Director level designers and with a variety of sills across editorial, integrated, digital, animation design. You will need to have had creative agency experience and be comfortable leading a creative department with varied skillsets and levels of experience. You’ll also need to have come up with concepts that run across a good range of creative comms ideally across some integrated marketing, digital platforms (such as microsites) and a range of corporate communications. would also be useful. The role will involve adding strategic and creative value at different stages as you work with and oversee the team around you and build relationships with clients and 3rd parties to ensure the agency produces outstanding creative solutions to briefs.
The department produces a variety of projects across all media, so you should be comfortable concepting and designing for all manner of comms and be able to adapt to multiple projects at once. Your portfolio will need to demonstrate this as well as your conceptual thinking in response to briefs. In your career you’ll ideally have had exposure to everything from engaging and high profile reporting, through to branding, infographics, ads, web layouts, site plans and user journeys as well as ideally storyboarding, and producing any other digital content.
As a Creative Director, you’ll also need to love coaching, inspiring, mentoring and working collaboratively with the team around you. You’ll be constantly pushing for the individuals in the team to shine and produce their best work for the agency.
