- Job Functions
We're working with a 30 strong, brilliant creative agency who specialise in the world of gaming and entertainment (not gambling, I'm talking about proper video games for console and PC). They deliver brilliant live shoot and animation for game trailers, along with a range of other content and social assets. The agency also has a brilliant culture made up of people who are genuinely passionate about what they do where good ideas can come from anywhere and collaboration isn't just valued, it's the baseline for how they work.
The production team is currently around 8 heads but, as they are extremely busy, we're looking to add a new producer to their team! It's a fast paced team with little hierarchy; there are of course different levels of people from juniors to extremely well established seniors, but everybody in the team owns their own work - you certainly won't just be doing someone else's admin.
What You'll Be Doing
It's a relatively straightforward producer role! You'll be working closely with your clients along with other PMs / producers internally to deliver predominantly video shoot and animation projects. The agency doesn't have dedicated client services people so you'll be hands on with taking briefs directly but you won't be expected to sell more work or schmooze - you're just there to keep them happy while you make sure projects run smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ownership over the logistics and production of a project, including budgeting, scheduling, briefing in the required skill sets and overseeing through the production phases.
- Working with your client and the creative team in the concepting phase, helping the creatives realise their vision and supporting the client throughout.
- Working with external suppliers to ensure the timely, cost effective and high quality delivery of 3D animation and live shoot.
- Managing project burn rate and keeping the client and internal team updated on project finances and timelines.
Who We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have worked in creative agency or production environment as a project manager or producer, though any sort of creative agency experience is definitely relevant if you've delivered production of video content. If you've worked in the world of entertainment or have a passion for gaming then that is a big plus! You'll have a strong understanding of the creative production process from concepting, planning and budgeting, and then working closely with creative teams to get the work done. While you will often be working collaboratively, we do need somebody who is capable of running their own projects.
All the usual personality traits apply - we are after somebody ambitious (they give a lot of support on learning and development) and who is more than happy to roll their sleeves up and muck in with a tight knit, highly collaborative team. That, and being genuinely invested in delivering great work are the most important things for this one.
