 We are looking to hire an ambitious mid/senior graphic designer to work across multiple projects, both print and digital. The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an agency or editorial design environment.  A strong understanding of guidelines creation and ability to follow existing brand guidelines is a must.

The role requires a solid, all-round player with a can-do attitude. Equally comfortable creating layouts as well as build graphics and crafting web pages. You will have a keen eye for detail, good composition and typography knowledge and be willing to expand your skills to encompass new disciplines and technologies.

The designer will lead on all in-house and external design projects, supporting our growing client team and client base. We're looking for an exceptional designer and a creative thinker who can translate sometimes-complex science in to compelling, meaningful communications. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, and will be comfortable working independently whilst assisting the wider team with their design needs.

Main responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Create and execute a high level of corporate digital and print design across internal and external channels
  • Provide creative support for new business pitch presentations and documents
  • Create bespoke client templates, presentations and provide design support to client teams
  • Design graphical content for social media channels
  • Manage in-house brand guidelines
  • Lead on all in-house marketing materials such as: company presentation, brochures, flyers, adverts, social media, monthly newsletter, weekly bulletin and mailouts
  • Work with website developer to create content to be hosted on website


  • Good communication & prioritisation skills
  • Ability to cope under pressure
  • Good attention to detail
  • Flexible, pro-active, confident, with an open, can-do attitude
  • Intermediate or advanced in Word/Excel/Outlook and PowerPoint presentation design
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign
  • Understanding of branding, brand design and marketing
  • Track record of operating independently and without oversight
  • An understanding of healthcare / life sciences beneficial but not essential
  • Proven experience in graphic design experience in either agency, inhouse or freelancing
  • Strong portfolio showcasing high-end design projects
  • Experience of corporate work would be beneficial

Software packages:

  • InDesign: expert for both print and interactive purposes
  • Photoshop: expert on composition, retouching and image optimisation
  • Illustrator: expert creating illustrations, vector drawing and infographics
  • PowerPoint: expert in converting text heavy presentations into visual storytelling and a strong understanding in building templates informed by company specific information
  • Windows 365 suite – intermediate or advanced in Word/Excel/Outlook
  • Adobe XD: (or similar) web and digital design
  • Invision: web/app prototyping
  • After Effects: short video editing, simple animations, Lottie/GIF
