Design Director – Sustainability Communications - £55,000 - £70,000
We are working with an award winning, creative agency who offer strategy, communications and reporting through to Campaign, PR and content for a diverse client roster, and focus on sustainability. The agency is well established and has built a reputation based around its strategical approach, creative output and the emphasis it places on truly understanding the brands that they work with and their goals with regards to Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility . This allows them to produce exceptional work that is executed to the highest standard and has meant that they have retained clients as well as winning new ones year on year.
The agency in question are looking for a talented Design Director to lead by example with the conceptualisation and roll out of beautiful and high level design work. You’ll need to be the sort of
person who tends to hit the mark first time, every time and whilst working and leading across multiple ongoing projects at once! The role will also need you to be a confident leader, not only helping and coaching designers, but also leading with clients and talking through creative routes and working with external production partners.
You will need to have had creative agency experience and worked across some kind of corporate communications, ideally in terms of reporting and integrated marketing. You should be used to producing concepts that tell a story and crafting beautiful design work for information design / infographics and creating striking and informative layouts. The role will involve adding strategic and creative value as you work with and oversee the team around you and build relationships with clients alongside the Account Management team to provide outstanding creative solutions to briefs.
The agency pick up a broad variety of projects across all media, so you should be comfortable designing for print and digital and able to adapt to multiple projects each week. Your portfolio will need to demonstrate this as well as your conceptual thinking in response to briefs. You will need to be very comfortable designing everything from engaging and high profile sustainability reports, through to branding, infographics, ads, web layouts, site plans and user journeys as well as ideally storyboarding, and producing any other digital content.
As a Senior Creative within the team, the agency will also look for you to work closely with the other Design Directors and Creative Director to coach, inspire, mentor and work collaboratively with the team around you. They look for people who lead by example with the way you go about
