Our client is a small but growing Creative Marketing Agency who work across a range of disciplines including Direct Marketing, Email, Data, CRM etc
Many of their key accounts are charities, such as British Heart Foundation, Lifeboat Charity etc... so a lovely sector to be involved in.
We are looking for an Account Manager to join their busy team.
You will have previous Marketing Agency experience as an Account Manager.
The offices are based in Richmond, part-remote is an option.
Description of your role
To provide your manager with a full implementation and development resource across current client activity.
This is a project management role where you will be required to take responsibility for ensuring that current client priorities are met at all times.
Key tasks – to manage:
the development, implementation and maximum profitability of agreed client activity
the writing and briefing of creative (with supervision) and liaising with Creative and Twist
the briefing and control of external suppliers
the financial aspects of the account – supplier costings and invoices, purchase orders, quotations, client invoices, cashflow, assistance with income forecasting and ensuring forecasts are met on your projects
the legal aspects of all activity at the various stages
the provision of assistance to your manager in preparing proposals and identifying business development opportunities
requests for assistance in pitch situations (e.g. information sourcing, fact finding and help with the presentation)
the adherence of agency protocol as outlined in the agency policy guidelines
Key skills required
time management and organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
effective teamwork, ensuring that tasks are suitably managed and that your managers remain informed, demonstrating delegation and supervision skills when appropriate, both written and verbal
effective creative briefing and management of the artwork/production process
effective written and verbal presentations of day to day proposals, costs and recommendations
good client handling skills and the ability to provide reasoned solutions and logical responses to client questions and requests
ability to negotiate supplier costs and demonstration that you are continually seeking ways to increase your account team income
development of creative judgement so that you can achieve the best possible results from Creative
development of numerical and analytical skills so that you can accurately interpret and understand campaign data
developing a strong rapport with day to day client contacts and the respect of senior client contacts
developing and demonstrating a pivotal, responsible and proactive role in the account team whilst showing a readiness to accept advice and direction from your managers
positive relationships with Creative and Twist
developing a proactive approach to supplier relationships – providing the team with new and profitable client solutions
a solid knowledge of direct marketing, promotional and interactive theory and techniques
sound knowledge of the production/personalisation techniques
