We are looking for an experienced designer with an enthusiasm for London and a passion for all things creative. You’ll be joining a busy and close-knit in-house design team at the Greater London Authority, on a part-time job-share basis, working across the Mayor of London and London Assembly brands.
The briefs are as wide-ranging as the city itself. You might be working on a campaign to end homelessness, promoting a curriculum that celebrates London’s diverse history or – as is the case now – contributing to the campaign to support Londoners as the city recovers from the Covid-19 pandemic. The work is stimulating, varied and fast-paced.
You’ll have a head full of ideas, generating and developing creative concepts and producing high quality finished artwork for integrated marketing campaigns. You should be comfortable developing your ideas across a mix of channels, including digital, print and social media. Naturally, you’ll be a dab hand with Adobe design software, and have experience designing for web. You’ll also have previous experience of working in an agency, studio or in-house.
As well as these skills and experience, you’ll be great at planning and prioritising your work. You’ll have a good eye for detail and be able to stay calm under pressure. And finally, you’ll be a good communicator who is happy to share your thoughts and comfortable presenting your ideas to key stakeholders.
