What will I be doing?
Attitude is as important to experience & skill set for us, as we look to build an enthusiastic, driven and enterprising team. You will support the Brand and Design Manager to set the visual tone for the brand and inspire a team of designers; and help to steer the future direction of the House of Commons and UK Parliament brand identities and the design team. You will work on briefs from internal commissioning teams such as the Education and Engagement team, Parliamentary Archives, Historic Furniture, the Speakers Office and Committees. This role is central to setting and maintaining the creative quality of the team’s work - you will support and inspire designers, ensuring projects are appropriately prioritised and that the teams work is on brand and of a consistently high standard.
What are we looking for from you?
The successful candidate will possess the following skills:
- Relevant graphic design experience is essential and a related design degree (if you have obtained this)
- Design experience in a studio agency or in-house environment
- Strong conceptual skills
- Strong experience of print, information and motion design
- Experience of design for digital platforms
- Strong working experience of full Adobe Creative Cloud
