Can you help this established business enter its next phase of growth and development, in this key role as the Business Development Director?

An all-encompassing strategic hire for the business which has weathered covid well and is now looking to use this as a platform to kick on both with their existing client roster as well as forging new opportunities along the way. The business already has an impressive client portfolio and pipeline of work. They have huge exposure blue chip brands predominately in the FMCG sector although experience is not limited to that.

A lot of excellent work has been done by the current senior management of the business to create relationships and reputation, what this needs now is someone to take the lead, adding to the strategy. Using your experience, personality and ability, to drive a co-ordinated pipeline of high quality work in to the business.

Key areas of the role
Lead business development across new clients - predominantly blue chip FMCG brands
Own the business development function, process, strategy, KPI's, co-ordinate RFI's, pitches etc
Working alongside the MD/Owner of the business in this highly strategic role
Marketing activities to support outreach
Maximise existing accounts, building relationships and coordinating contact strategy

This firm has of course embraced WFH but you have to be realistic, being in the same space to talk strategy or pull together a top notch pitch that is going to win the firms next big client is always going to be done best in person. So while the firm has clients all over the UK from London to Grimsby, and visiting those clients will post covid be an important part of that role, your ability to visit the Bristol office once or twice a week would be required, maybe not straight away but when the time is right.

Who is this person?
Ambitious and someone who ultimately can see the potential in the role to become the key client facing individual in the business.
Previous business development experience, likely within the FMCG environment
Previous digital and shopper marketing experience
