The Fix Creative is looking for candidates who can ‘write to the middle’. That is to say, writers who are not only adept at handling the technical side of healthcare writing, but also possess at least a modicum of creative flair.
The successful candidate should have a science degree (and preferably an MSc or a PhD), plus at least two years’ agency experience. An ability to understand and interpret clinical papers and other medical data is essential, as is a commitment to hard work, the confidence to present work, and the propensity to interact with team member and clients.
Along with being a technically proficient, talented writer, the candidate should also be curious and have an interest in pharmaceuticals, medicine and creativity.
The appointed writer will be the fourth member of the in-house writing team and will report to the Creative Director of Copy. It is a full-time, largely office-based role.
Examples of the wide range of projects that the writer will be given the opportunity to tackle are:
• Sales materials (digital sales aids in particular)
• Objection handlers
• Clinical paper summaries
• Patient literature
• Banner ads
• Video scripts
In addition, the writer may be required to attend symposia or advisory boards and tasked with writing reports on the outputs of such meetings.
