Create something that saves a life
At NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT), our creative output and marketing campaigns are a vital part of our service. Being able to capture the public’s imagination and drive awareness of what we do underpins our aim to become the best donation service in the world for blood, organs, tissues and stem cells. If you’re a talented designer and all-round creative who can produce compelling, exciting work, join us and help bring our services to even more people across the UK.
About the role
Together with your Brand and Studio Manager and our customer marketing department, you’ll develop and deliver online marketing assets for the whole of NHSBT. Your work will play a crucial role in promoting all our services and securing vital donations that allow us to help thousands of patients across the UK.
The work is highly varied and involves considerable responsibility for our brand. You’ll act as a brand advisor for NHSBT, making sure we’re consistent across our visual identity but also tone of voice. Collaborating with all our business areas, you’ll design concepts for campaigns, digital guidelines, social assets and print as well as graphics, animations and film. You’ll also contribute to the effective management of the design studio, making sure all the work we produce is delivered on time, on brief and to a high quality.
You’ll have experience in designing and developing a wide range of creative assets, including digital, social media, off-line media and film. You’ll be proficient with industry standard design and film production software and confident in executing campaigns and handling the visual identity of a brand.
We also need candidates who can meet deadlines at pace while managing multiple projects at once. You’ll be a great communicator who can challenge, advise and influence a range of audiences, and inspire confidence in others when it comes to your work.
A relevant degree in a design or communications subject is essential, along with strong IT skills and a commitment to your professional development.
There is so much to be said about the job satisfaction that our team members get from their work. With us, you’ll be at the heart of an organisation that’s saving and transforming countless lives every day.
At NHSBT, we also value the immense knowledge that our highly skilled team brings to our work. We’ll invest heavily in your personal and professional needs, from progressive training and development opportunities through to competitive pension schemes and generous annual leave allowance. It’s about making sure every NHSBT employee is truly happy in their work. Join us, experience a great work-life balance and a sense of achievement that can’t be found anywhere else.
