Hands-on Experienced Architect / Associate - London Office Lead
A growing studio with numerous small offices in the UK and an international client base is looking for a hands on Experienced Architect / Associate to lead its 10 strong studio in London.
The studio is being very open minded about the level in which they recruit but in short, they feel the position is best suited to a Project, Senior or Associate Level Architect (with between 5-10 years PQE) that can head up projects and lead the London office in the absence of the MD + Associate Director who have their time split between several offices during the week.
The London office consists of six talented architects and a number of architectural assistants. The architects have between 2-9 years PQE and although very talented, they require a leader.
Due to the nature of how the studio works, you will lead from the front, rolling up your sleeves and showing the office how it's done. You will also have the opportunity to be the general 'overseer' of the London office when both Directors are not in the office. This offers the successful candidate a gradual step up into a lead management role.
The ideal candidate will need to be autonomous, to a degree. You should also have an active interest in being hands on through the duration of the projects (inception to completion). You should also have an ability to communicate through hand sketches as well as various software. The studio uses Vectorworks but this is not a prerequisite for this role.
Projects: The studio works on a range of projects both here in the UK and internationally. This includes hospitality + high end residential (listed + contemporary). The projects are more than often multi million pound high-end residential schemes and require an eye for high quality. The studio also works on multiple unit schemes both nationally + internationally (namely Europe + America) with project values of between £10m - £20m.
Please provide an up to date CV + folio to Carl Nevel at Adrem Group in order to have your application reviewed.
