The Fix creative is looking for a mid-weight WordPress Web developer to join our client, an integrated agency in Wokingham.

As a Front End Developer, you will be comfortable with both front and back end developing (full-stack), with a great understanding of current technologies and emerging trends.

This Front End Developer role will require you to:

  • Be comfortable working alongside the digital design team, designing front end architecture and user interactions.
  • You will also be required to work on the development of the backend of websites predominantly built in WordPress.  
  • This role will require you to design, code and modify website layouts and functionality according to a client’s specification.
  • You will need a strong understanding of WordPress and PHP, along with hands on coding experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery and MySQL knowledge.  
  • You will have at least 3 years hands-on coding experience, ideally for an agency and are comfortable taking the lead for digital projects.

We’re a small and dynamic agency, so there is plenty of scope to make the job your own and take control of the projects by staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages to put into use.

You’ll be working from our studio in Wokingham, Berkshire; a busy town with great local amenities. We have a friendly and relaxed office environment and we work across a variety of sectors. We’re looking for a like-minded mid-weight WordPress Web Developer to join us and become a key part of the team.    


  • Working with the digital design team to create engaging and dynamic responsive websites
  • Hands-on coding experience with HTML5, PHP, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery and MySQL knowledge
  • Assisting Designers and Account Managers with technical advice Support for Account Mangers with writing of technical instructions and step-by-step guides for CMS website handover
  • Managing updates and maintenance on existing client sites
  • Good knowledge of current technologies and interest in new and emerging trends


  • Self-motivated and ability to work well in a busy professional environment
  • Ability to multi-task, working on various projects as various stages at one time
  • Ideally 3 years’ experience with hands-on coding
  • Experience in creating bespoke WordPress themes, Experience with the development of plugins and the editing of existing plugins
  • Experience in working with PHP and JavaScript Good responsive development knowledge
  • Good knowledge of basic SEO principles for best practice development Server set-up and admin experience ideally
  • Knowledge of web animation frameworks ideally (e.g. anime.js, ScrollMagic)
  • Experience of development workflow ideally (e.g. Webpack, Gulp)
