Junior Motion Designer
Our fantastic client is looking for a talented and creative Junior Motion Designer to become part of their busy brand and communications team to create exceptional brand collateral across video and digital media.
You will be reporting into the Lead Motion Designer and working closely with the wider in-house design team and marketing teams. You will be expected to support the Lead Motion Designer by co-ordinating a wide range of projects across the business, which will be delivered within the global visual identity system.
You will need to be goal oriented, a good communicator and have a skilled eye for attention to detail. You will be able to balance multiple projects and priorities to meet deadlines, as well as having the ability to organise work within an existing design and job booking process. You will have a collaborative nature and be someone who is inventive and not afraid to take risks to keep on top of industry trends and understand the importance of wanting to be ahead of our competition and not alongside.
Your role responsibilities:
You will support the Lead Motion Designer with creating storyboards to define video and animation messaging and structure.
You will work closely with the digital marketing team to ensure delivery requirements are met as well as helping with the development of appropriate video platforms.
You will assist on planning, filming and post production of video content, including camera set up, sound and lighting.
You will work alongside multi-disciplinary teams to ensure solutions meet with their strategic marketing and design objectives.
You will collaborate on multiple projects of varying complexities, identifying and developing best practice for effective communication of messages through animation and video.
Have 1-2 years industry experience.
Have a good understanding of what makes communications effective.
Have previous experience working with visual identities.
Have a strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating a range of visual and awareness of industry trends.
Have a good understanding of all key delivered channels across digital and video.
Have good working knowledge of Adobe CC including After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator.
Have competence in video editing skills, and using premiere pro.
Have filming and photography skills. (Ideal but not essential)
Have the skill to multi task and manage time effectively in order to meet deadlines.
Have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
