Exciting not-for-profit organisation based on the outskirts of NW London are on the hunt for a self-shooting film director and editor to join their in-house creative team.

What you’ll be doing:

Shoot and edit a range of videos and formats for our social channels and website.

Shoot and edit interviews and pieces to camera.

Shoot and edit ‘how-to’ films of activities young people do at Scouts.

Be pro-active in suggesting great originated content to accompany our news articles and social media and shoot and edit them

Work with the head of creative to identify opportunities for content both on location and in a studio environment.

Commission freelance talent when need arises.

Be able to own a budget for small scale shoots when required.

Be the owner of all shot material and ensure all finalised video assets are stored correctly within our servers with the correct metadata.

Get involved in the creative process, contribute ideas and creative solutions and be across industry trends.

Keep up-to-date with creative innovations and ensure you are following the best procedure and workflow.

Aware of captioning and subtitling workflows.

Digital and SEO savvy. 

Some weekends and evenings when required.

Your experience:

You have relevant experience working in a fast-paced creative environment.

You’re great with Adobe Creative Cloud with some After Effects knowledge.

You know DSLR shooting inside and out, plus you have knowledge of digital shoot workflows.

Strong working knowledge of social media and digital video platforms.

You follow workflow guidelines and naming conventions and can suggest better ways of using workflow.

Understanding of usage and clearance requirements for music, images and footage.

You'll be part of a multi-discipline creative team and manage 3 creative roles, supporting their personal and professional development.
