Project Manager

A Clerkenwell-based furniture consultancy and supplier is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team. The company works with hundreds of leading furniture brands to deliver their clients the best products for their projects. The role will be managing the pre-planning, delivery and installation of projects within client specifications. Typical projects are for hospitality and workplace. There will be 50/50 of onsite work and pre-planning office work and budgets range anywhere from £500k - £2million. This role is a great opportunity for someone with proven Project Manager experience in the furniture industry to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor new projects after they've been uploaded to internal system and orders have been placed
  • Advise Sales team on installation costs and ensure Admin team has chased suppliers for OA's
  • Manage project handovers, quality checking against furniture layout plans, and monitor incoming OA's ensuring supplier deliveries are within programme dates
  • Liaise with internal Installation Manager on projects, programmes, site visits, etc.
  • Ensure all site delivery bookings have been made with site managers/building management/clients
  • Ensure any RAMS necessary have been completed and supplied to relevant parties
  • Regularly go on-site, ensuring projects are running smoothly for installation
  • Monitor the snagging programme
  • Look after supplier and warehouse invoices/payments for products and deliveries, quality checking team invoices, allocating costs and signing off payments as needed
  • Sign off projects for invoicing to client once product has been delivered and snagging is complete
  • Meet with new and existing clients, advising on possible new furniture and projects
  • Provide quotes to clients as necessary
  • Liaise with moving companies for any prospective client office moves and freight/shipping companies on furniture transportation

Key Skills:

  • At least 5 years Project Management experience in the furniture industry or similar
  • Experience liaising with clients at all different levels as well as looking after sales, admin and installation teams
  • Budgeting and invoicing experience
  • High attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Confident with managing tight deadlines and demanding client expectations
