Underscore is a leading central London brand strategy and digital creative agency working with exciting start-ups and market leading brands from all over the world.

As a result of some exciting new account wins, we are seeking a talented Creative Director to lead our gifted and passionate creative team. This is a multidimensional role, working across a number of creative projects for exciting brands. You will lead, direct and help develop world class design - overseeing the studio output from brand identity to wider communication and content strategies.

Day-to-day you will be driving ideas and concepts - working closely with clients and the wider creative team to develop and craft the creative process as a whole. Whilst you will have strong creative knowledge, your ability to manage a creative team to their optimum potential is the heart of this role. With concept generation and evolution of our team being your upmost responsibility, this is a role with great potential to cast the direction of our client work, as well as our design team.

This is a highly strategic role - with a major focus on direction: you will need to strategise, consult, motivate, lead and inspire. You will have a refined understanding and passion for brands, forming meaningful partnerships with our clients. We are looking for someone who can own and take full accountability for projects, managing all aspects of the creative process, from strategic exploration and analysis to overseeing a team, and ensuring that the strategic brief is fully explored and developed every time.

Salary up to £62k, depending on experience.

Key requirements of the role:

_ Be able to work hands-on when needed across both print and digital projects, whilst happy managing and directing others

_ Concept generation and brief creation

_ Creative direction and management of designers

_ Ability to demonstrate creativity through efficiently conceptualising, planning, producing, refining and/ or leading a diverse range of creative ideas/ concepts, specialised graphic and/ or illustrative material for team consideration against the set strategic brief

_ Communicate effectively verbally as well as visually, presenting design rationale during internal/ external presentations/ critiques - engaging with internal senior level management and external clients

_ Take pride in delivering large-scale projects on time and on budget

You’ll need:

_ 8+ years agency experience within the design / branding sector

_ Strong communication skills

_ Meticulous eye for detail

_ Creative team management experience
