We are looking to recruit a diligent and highly creative individual to join our Education Design department who, under the supervision of the Design Manager, will undertake responsibility for general daily design work, communicating with freelancer designers, typesetting and packaging of files for production to develop designs for our key in-house projects. Main responsibilities will include design development, file preparation, organising reprint schedules in conjunction with the production department, illustration and picture research and effective file management as well as maintaining an up to date knowledge of design practice.

A degree in Graphic Design with working design experience is essential, with previous experience in a publishing role or studio desirable, alongside a portfolio that demonstrates excellent design and/or creative art working skills. A working understanding and competency in the use of InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator to an advanced level is also essential. General experience of Microsoft Office and editorial proofing with excellent written, verbal and organisational skills accompanied by good attention to detail are also a requirement. This is a position suitable for an enthusiastic and creative individual with the relevant flair and experience and a hardworking but flexible and adaptable approach.
