The British Museum is recruiting for a Senior Graphic Designer. This is an exciting opportunity to join the museum's busy Exhibitions design team, working on a wide variety of projects contributing to the delivery of world class temporary exhibitions and other public areas of the Museum.

In order to demonstrate creative talent, candidates are required to submit 3 pieces of work in one PDF document to in addition to completing their application on our jobs website. Examples of your work should be relevant to designing temporary exhibitions and include an example of environmental and interpretive graphic concepts for an exhibition with at least one drawing showing artwork with instructions to fabricator. In this creative and challenging role you will have responsibility for developing and managing creative exhibition graphic design from concept through to installation, sometimes on several projects simultaneously.

You are a highly creative energetic and experienced graphic designer with museum experience and the ability to apply your design skills to imaginative problem solving. A flexible team player and skilled communicator, you are equally comfortable presenting design concepts to, and collaborating with, our numerous stakeholders, as you are artworking final content and working with contractors to meet the Museum's quality requirements.

You are an organised and a skilled planner with a positive 'can do' approach and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You are able to prioritise your workload to meet critical deadlines, and prepare and manage schedules and financial estimates.

Educated to degree level in Graphic Design, or equivalent, you have a minimum of 5 years proven experience working in a design studio. You are proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator software on Mac hardware.
