The speed read:
A small, purpose-driven studio is searching for a Lead Designer to work with them on a part time but ongoing basis. This is a rare flexible working opportunity, with the added bonus of working alongside lovely people doing meaningful work in the arts, culture and charitable sectors.
The agency has established itself over the last 15 years, working with a broad range of clients rooted within the arts & culture and charity sectors. They very much believe in the value and purpose of the work that they do.
As ‘Lead Designer’ you will work alongside the Director and Developer and will be responsible for all creative output. You will be a confident, self motivated mid-senior graphic designer, able to collaborate with the existing team but also able to work autonomously - excited at the thought of taking on more responsibility and stepping up in to a leading role.
In terms of skillset, you would describe yourself as a bit of an all-rounder. You’re great at applying yourself across both print and digital applications. You can work to brand guidelines and develop new identities, as well as develop wireframes and plan websites. You should also be comfortable participating in workshops, presenting your work to clients and to a wider audience.
This opportunity would be perfectly suited to someone wishing to work 3+ days a week with fairly flexible hours – you will work remotely, with regular team meetings. It’s a brilliant opening for an established designer looking for a more accommodating work/life balance.
- Enthusiastic and up for a challenge
- Flexible and reliable
- Confident in working on your own initiative
- 5+ years’ experience in branding and comms
- A well-rounded and varied portfolio
- Strong skills in digital design
- Ideally a passion for arts, culture and charitable projects
Self motivated, hard working and just a generally lovely person and designer!
