This established, well respected and independent corporate communications agency is looking for a Digital Design Director to join their team.

The facts:
This agency's bread and butter tends to be in the corporate reporting and comms area. Whilst they have an existing small but successful digital team, they realise there's huge potential to grow this area given the established account relationships they already have.
That's why they're now looking for an experienced Digital Design Director who's still able to be hands-on in the first instance, but in time will grow the inhouse digital team and move in to being more 'hands-on at key moments on key projects'.

You'll be someone with knowledge and charisma who can inspire clients and colleagues alike. Someone who is able to be strategic - but also fundamentally a great digital designer with thorough knowledge of digital production. Needless to say, you'll need to be interested and knowledgeable in emerging technologies and able to help the agency be progressive in this area. Experience with corporate communications would naturally be hugely beneficial.
You'll be well versed in digital interaction and will have good ideas about how to develop and implement new ways of working that will bring about even better results. You'll be experienced in working alongside remote development teams.

The agency would like to find someone who's passionate and lively with lots of ideas and who's eager to work well and collaborate within the existing design team. Someone who will support the design team by sharing digital expertise and promote excellence within the agency. There is huge potential to develop the role and scope for progression. The agency work hard, but they're 'grown up' - so they offer flexibility where required and strive to create a very positive but and committed working culture.

Skills required:

  • client facing - able to communicate, educate and inspire 
  • portfolio full of brilliant and beautiful crafted digital output
  • excellent typographic skills with fastidious attention to detail
  • mentoring and knowledge sharing of digital expertise
  • experience of developing and testing ideas
  • a solid understanding of industry standard software (Creative cloud, Sketch, InVision)  
  • knowledge and experience in delivering design that works across responsive web experiences
