An architectural team in a multidisciplinary practice are seeking an experienced Lead Architect to join the team in their Birmingham office.

Their Architectural team work across all offices and are involved across the retail, commercial, residential, education, health & extra care sectors, with many exciting new build & refurbishment projects. They typically work at BIM Level 2 on a REVIT platform, with many of their projects delivered multi-disciplinary.

Main Responsibilities

  • To run a small Architectural team in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • To undertake regional marketing, secure work & develop market presence
  • To take responsibility for all projects within the office & deliver to quality, time & budget parameters.
  • To report to the Head of Architecture in London
  • To deliver a continuous improvement ethos & work within a larger Architectural team from other UK offices.
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain regular & successful contact with Clients
  • Obtain & allocate work to Architectural staff within the office
  • Monitor & review staff performance
  • Ensure staff training needs are met
  • Keep staff informed of progress against group objectives
  • Review Client generated appointments, contract & collateral warranties
  • Maintain excellent relations with other groups
  • Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

    • Qualified Architect with a minimum of 10 years post qualification experience
    • A knowledge of the Residential Sector
    • Good design abilities
    • All work is completed in BIM on a REVIT platform & working knowledge of BIM is required
    • Microsoft Office

    Essential Personal Skills:

    Excellent interpersonal & management skills working within a small multi-disciplinary office & large multi-disciplinary company.

    Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

    In addition to essential knowledge of the Residential sector, it is desirable to have knowledge is some of the other sectors the Architectural team work in which include Retail, Education, Health & Commercial.

    Adobe Indesign, Adobe Photoshop & NBS Create are core programmes within the office & knowledge of these is desirable.
