Senior Content Writer & Strategist
Our client an agency in the West End of London, have built a reputation for creating great content that helps their clients stand out from the crowd – from handy guides and interactive tools, to exciting videos and insightful podcasts.
Our client are looking for someone who shares passion for greatness to join the team. You’re someone who has a way with words and who understands the fine art of content planning, delivery and distribution. You’ve got B2B and ideally tech experience.
You have a hunger for doing something different. And importantly, like our client, you have no desire to simply add to the glutinous mountains of content out there – and instead want to create content that truly sparkles, resonates and offers huge value to its consumers.
What you'll be up to
Insight gathering: immersing yourself in the worlds of our clients and their customers, key trends, issues and opportunities on their radar, through desk research, interviews and content audits
Thinking up content ideas: working closely with our planners to devise new and engaging ways of bringing our clients’ stories and messages to life
Planning content: formulating and structuring content plans that show your vision for each content asset to be created; sharing that vision with the wider team and with clients
Creating content: writing, editing and proofing a range of content, long and short – from guides and infographics to video and podcast scripts, from web experiences to social media posts
Briefing designers: working with designers to help them understand your content ideas – creating assets that nail the brief and wow the client.
Work alongside conceptual copywriters: you’ll be based within our Planning team but on branding projects you’ll sometimes work on content in parallel with copywriters from our Creative team who focus on ATL and/or short copy.
At least 5 years as a B2B writer, creating content for print and digital so that people feel and do something; adapting style, tone and message to the audience, channel and medium
At least 5 years experience in B2B marketing, agency or client-side, with an understanding of how businesses choose products and services
Happy to get to grips with tricky tech subject areas and are happy writing ebooks, case studies, use cases, white papers, video scripts, social posts, podcasts, playbooks, infographics and blogs
Knowledge of multi-channel digital marketing with regards to content; able to help develop content strategies for campaigns, considering all channels and mediums
You like doing things differently and can help come up with fresh content ideas for clients; you have absolutely no desire to add to the glutinous mass of formulaic content out there.
Strong time management skills to manage multiple projects, deliver on time and to a high standard; comfortable presenting ideas to clients and taking feedback
