London to £70,000 An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Software Engineer to join a creative agency in the heart of London. These guys are looking for a energetic, ambitious and creative developer with extensive experience in programming with a production orientated background. They're are around 45 staff members in the talented team, you will need to demonstrate focus, drive and the ability to execute to standards of excellence. Key responsibilities are: Work closely with Senior Digital Artists / TD to develop and document a flexible & coherent technical pipeline with focus on the clients needs. Develop in-house tools to create production efficiencies and enable the studio to streamline execution of upcoming projects. Develop tools that integrate with production and asset management software. Develop scripts / in-house software that facilitate artist workflow. Apply best programming practice (incl. versioning, maintaining and documenting code, writing user guides and technical documentation for in-house software) Skills & Experience The following experience is expected for this position: Proficiency in Python, C/C++, understanding of any of the following a plus: L, Open GL, QT, PyQT/PySide, MySQL. Experience in programming for computer graphics, knowledge of rendering theory and its implementation (V-Ray, mental ray). Basic understanding of Maya & Nuke's software environments and the programming framework available to them. Experience with agile software development. Experience in programming cross-platform for Windows and Mac OS X environments a plus.
