The British Museum is offering an exciting opportunity for a Graphic Designer to join its Marketing team. The role will develop and create visual approaches to design briefs for the Museum's marketing materials which can be adapted across a variety of media, print and digital publications, appropriate to the audience and adhering to the Museum's visual language.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Designing graphic solutions for marketing campaigns (including on-site, outdoor/off-site advertising, print and digital), working with the Design and Brand Manager, Lead Graphic Designer and Marketing Managers.
- Ensure the Museum's visual language guidelines are adhered to in all creative executions.
- Produce and supply artwork for print, or upload files for digital production, to the highest standards, liaise with external suppliers, and oversee production.
- Ensure successful delivery of allocated design projects, handling multiple jobs concurrently, prioritise, report on progress, deliver to deadline and keep costs within set budgets.
Educated in graphic design to degree level, the successful candidate will have extensive design experience with proven abilities in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator along with an in-depth knowledge of pre-press and print production. You will have experience of digital design for marketing solutions and a willingness to learn and adapt to digital developments in the industry.
We are looking for someone with strong creative skills and attention to detail, with good interpersonal skills, organisation skills and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
