- Confident and professional client facing skills and abilities
- Generate fee proposals and allocation of time against deliverables
- Understand project resourcing and forecasting and managing team to deliver to fixed deadlines
- Manage time and deliverables on projects and coordinate with finance department on invoicing
- Develop a design from original brief through to completion
- Run and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Chair and record client and consultant meetings when required
- Produce and manage design to client's project budget
- Self-motivated with a clear ability to use initiative & be pro-active
- Work effectively under the supervision of the directors, heeding direction and advice when given

- Work closely with the procurement department ensuring that the correct level of information is provided at the various stages of the
- Attend weekly project status meetings with directors and report on: progression of deliverables against scope/fee/timeline, resourcing requirements, stage completion against invoicing and any critical issues
- Maintain design integrity throughout the design development and construction processes
- Comfortable working to a deadline in a fast paced, busy environment
Management of Team:
- A team player, but with strong leadership skills and proven ability to manage people effectively and considerately
- Oversee and develop team members & delegate accordingly, bringing team together to work in the most effective way
- Identify team staffing and resourcing requirements and assist with the recruitment process and
- Participate in team staff appraisal system offering mentoring and career development with the assistance/under the direction of the Directors and
Design Process:
- Take and assimilate a brief, developing it into pitch presentation
- Under direction of the directors provide the creative lead on assigned projects encouraging team to strive for excellence at all times
- Monitor teams work, ensuring continuity and compliance with brief and project requirements
- Produce mood presentations using images, sketches, samples to best communicate ideas
- Space plan to a clients' brief
- Sense of scale & the ability to think 3 dimensionally, particularly in relation to project solving
- Confident presentation skills & design team communication
Production & Specification:
- Good technical background and the ability to fully understand, produce and oversee every aspect of the technical and furniture drawings, schedules and specifications
- A good understanding and knowledge of finishes and FF&E and how these are intrinsic to the overall design
- Ability to oversee and co-ordinate FF&E designers from concept to completed specifications and control books
- A good understanding of materials and construction techniques
- Strong co-ordination & communication skills and the ability to liaise with and communicate ideas and solutions with clients, consultants and suppliers coherently through drawings and conversations
- Maintain quality assurance: monitoring team's work - providing quality checks before issue
- Competent in all areas of documentation delivery
- Understand UK regulations and statutory requirements and take responsibility for gaining knowledge of requirements when projects are outside of the UK
- Understanding of local authority applications and processes
Delivery:
- Ability to perform all aspects of project running: administration, co-ordination, technical design, drawing production, delivery and site installation
- Confident and experienced in checking and marking up other consultant's and manufacturer's drawings
- Site experience at different stages of the construction process
- Ability to clearly communicate and record ideas and information
- Confident in attending site meetings and representing the company and client's interests by maintaining design integrity without compromising quality, time or cost
- IT literate
- A very good understanding of and competence in AutoCAD
- Good capability in Excel
- MAC experience
- Freehand sketching
