Amazing opportunity for a Video Assistant has arisen to join this leading publishing company and become part of their Global Digital Production Department, working onsite with the digital team in London nr Old street you will be working closely with their US office on various daily tasks supporting video production, post production, video QA/QC, and asset management.
The main functions of the role are :
:
Post-production editing of video, audio, and media assets using Adobe Premiere Pro
Applying organization and assembly of footage
Basic Camera/Light setup and operation
Quality checking and correction of video metadata and transcription
Ingesting and organizing new and existing media assets into a Digital Asset Managment system with appropriate metadata
Exporting video files and other media
Quality analysis of videos
Delivering media to internal and external clients
Other production and post-production duties as assigned
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills:
Familiarity with video editing in a fast-paced setting, or equivalent level of skills
Basic understanding of filming technique and camera operation
Proficiency of the Adobe Premiere Pro and the rest of the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, MAC/Windows OS
Graphic design/After Effects knowledge a plus
General understanding of digital media properties
Familiarity with Youtube, Vimeo, CDNs and project management programs such as JIRA/Confluence
General understanding of video formats, codecs, and compression
The role will involve creative thinking and problem solving and you must be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will be working autonomously but as part of a larger team and have the abilty to provide feedback and direction to others at times. A good mulit tasker and strong organiser you will be able to plan and prioritise workload according to deadlines.
The role requires physical demands of the ability to lift 25 + lbs of camera equipment.
This company provides excellent structured training and development in a rapidly expanding digital production team. The role is initially being offered on a 12 month fixed term contract however potential renewal of this depending on situation and workload is possible.
