The Company:

  • An Interior Architecture design consultancy offering advice & detailed product specifications to high-end residential (private / show home) and developer clients

  • A dedicated Tiling Studio offering a vast selection of unique tiles
  • A full Design and Build Service

The ideal candidate will come with a proven strong background and more than 10 years' experience in interior design for private residential, developers and show home clients. They will have led and managed successful projects and have also managed a team of junior designers.

Furthermore, strong FF&E experience across a broad spectrum of price points is important along with strong spatial awareness skills and attention to detail. The candidate should also have detailed knowledge of fabric and wallpaper companies.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide background evidence of confidently leading and project managing from inception through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting directly to Design Director
  • Developing and / managing private client interior design briefs
  • Sourcing, designing and implementing interior design schemes for clients
  • Responsibility for presentations and mood boards being prepared on time and to our high-quality standards
  • Liaison with suppliers and in house Customer Service team
  • Assisting the Design Director in managing workflow
  • Undertake surveys and measurements as required
  • Preparing client budgets and costings
  • Attending client meetings, installations and managing onsite fitting team
  • Assist in designing show homes and collaboration with the broader design team on larger projects where needed
  • Working with Design Director to generate new business
  • Being a multi-faceted role, need to be able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally

Key Requirements

  • Able to demonstrate strong confidence & conviction with clients
  • Able to meet deadlines effectively
  • Strong knowledge of working with fabrics, including experience in designing, measuring and carrying out quotations and proposals
  • Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience
  • IT literate, proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook; AutoCAD, Sketchup, Photoshop
  • Numerate, able to make accurate calculations
  • Strong creative skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Well-presented and personable, with excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage junior & intermediate members of the design team
  • Good interpersonal skills and be able to work independently and as part of an effective team
  • Able to work on own initiative, multi task and to juggle a changing workload
  • Resilient to cope with conflicting demands, able to prioritise duties, work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Own car essential
