A Senior Interior Designer is required to join the Contracts Department of a well-established furniture supply and interior design company. The Senior Interior Designer will work within the busy contracts team reporting into the Creative Director.

The company work on exciting projects ranging from student accommodation and housing groups. Candidates will need to have gained similar experience within commercial interior design (this could be for a similar sector or possibly restaurants and retail interior design) The successful candidate must have a complete design background and have experience in large scale contract interior design. They must also be highly organised and have exceptional attention to detail.

The role will involve:

  • Interior and spatial design of contract residential interiors
  • Styling onsite of projects and lead installation team
  • Producing tailored made designs and quotations, ensuring the effective translation of the given brief/specification provided by the sales team and directly with clients, creating the design brief when required
  • Producing 'sample' or 'mood' boards for presentation to clients by sales team on occasion directly with clients, including 3D visuals
  • Considering materials and costs per set budgets and use of materials with designs
  • Source new products, working closely with the B&M team
  • Promoting contract products and developing within design specification
  • Managing all client design communication from concept/quotation to order/completion
  • Setting up, scheduling and attending requested design visits to customers if required
  • Manage your own database and prioritise your workload, agreeing with Creative Director priorities for projects and efficiently scheduling project work
  • Communicating with internal team all necessary information regarding the design and client needs to ensure effective ordering, completing administration to plan control and report on activities
  • Working with the contract team to grow the customer base
  • Meet agreed customer visits and sales team deadlines
  • Keeping up to date with new developments in the design industry, attendance at key exhibitions within the industry may be required

The company is looking for someone with fresh ideas along with experience of using AutoCAD, Sketch-up and Revit would be a specific advantage. The role will be based at the company head office which is located in Central London but would also be based frequently out on site. Therefore, candidates with a driving license would be preferred. (but is not essential)
