Our client is an award-winning interior design and architecture consultancy that works across the hospitality, leisure and retail sectors. Established 20 years ago, they have amassed an exciting, diverse portfolio of well-known clients, ranging from stylish cocktail bars and legendary nightclubs to luxury fashion retail and iconic London hotels.

This design consultancy has a small, dedicated team who work in close collaboration with their clients and contractors at every stage of the project, to achieve the target vision. Based in trendy Shoreditch, they offer a dynamic working environment with plenty of autonomy for their designers.

The Role

We’re looking for a talented Mid-Weight Interior Designer to work on a range of food and beverage projects. He/she will be working closely with the director to interpret the design brief and develop the scheme, including concept sketches, layouts and FF&E selection. Working at every stage of the design process, the Mid-Weight Interior Designer will produce drawing packages with plans, elevations and sections with detailed notes for design intent. A key part of the role, he/she will liaise closely with clients and contractors, ensuring that design elements are implemented successfully. The Mid-Weight Interior Designer will also be hands-on on site, overseeing the smooth delivery of their projects.

The Right Candidate

You will be all-rounder with 4-5 years of experience in the hospitality sector, ideally from a similar company in the industry. You must have worked on restaurant and bar projects and be able to show numerous examples in your portfolio. You will have a good balance of creativity and technical skill and demonstrate a clear understanding of all stages of the design process. You will be confident in your technical drawing ability, producing design packages to a high standard. You must be commercially minded and be capable of meeting tight project deadlines. Working with closely with clients and contractors, you will be a natural communicator and always strive to achieve client satisfaction and the best possible outcome. Vectorworks and Photoshop skills are essential, hand sketching is advantageous.

Fixed 12 month contract.
