Our client is a large global customer engagement agency who provide people experiences, content, tools and apps that are useful and intuitive to really cool customers.

We have been given the task of looking for an Account Director with experience in an agency environment managing a large retail client. This is working on an integrated account looking at Customer Journey, Testing, Optimising for Digital Display, Press, Radio and DRTV.

The Role:

This is an opportunity to create coms across a range of channels and be the guardian of an entire campaign. The role is within split between the agency and the client and time will be spent between working out of the agency's London offices and the clients UK offices. This means working closely and forming strong relationships with senior managers of the clients as you work together on TTL, fast paced, always on retail campaigns for the UK. You need to be used to working on through the line client briefs, delivering a seamless TTL customer experience from TV through to CRM, working closely with digital to make sure that the full customer eco-system is considered.

The main focus of the job will be protecting the customer base and the supply business. There is a huge amount in the pipeline so this will be a very active role from the start and the chance to have a huge impact in the development of the brand.

  • The role reports into a Business Director and will be supported by an Account Manager and Executive.
  • Inspiring and motivating creative teams to deliver excellent work; enhancing propositions and creative briefs; judging ideas both against a brief as well as in the context of a cultural fit for a client;
  • Quality control and overall responsibility for the creative output of each campaign - from brand fit and tone of voice to final artwork.

The Candidate:

Ideally you will have come from a similar background, working on a retail account and must be able to think ahead and react quickly. As an Account Director, you are responsible for the day-to-day leadership of your account and management of the team.

You're creatively ambitious for the agency - always looking for opportunities that go well beyond the brief, personally championing work from brief right through to case study. You recognize and nurture great ideas but aren't afraid to challenge mediocre ones with the creative department. You lead by example - encouraging colleagues to strive for greater creativity and insight.

The role is to work closely with the Business Director, fellow Account Director and Managing Partner to develop and deliver rigorous business development plans for your accounts. You use your knowledge of the client's business to uncover opportunities and demonstrate significant flair in your quest to grow each piece of business. You're also an active contributor to the agency's new business strategy.
