This is a great opportunity for an ambitious self-starter who is fascinated by the way people think and behave. Our client is a leading, not to mention award-winning behavioural insights agency, helping high profile brands, organisations and media agencies to grow through their research and insights of consumer behaviour.
You will be joining a growing team of experts in their fields (strategists, researchers, psychologists, anthropologists and writers, plus a whole heap more) initially as the sole in-house designer, you will have lots of room to grow and given plenty of autonomy. Once established the ambition is to grow the design team, so this role will suit an ambitious 2nd jobber who will thrive on responsibility and ownership.
With a passion for creative problem-solving, you will love the challenge of bringing insights to life through design and creativity - be it a piece of print, layout, infographic, digital piece or even video. You will be expected to lead the design process from start to finish.
You will be responsible for guardianship of the agency brand, maintaining and enhancing the visual strength of the agency's online library (from interpreting research into strong infographics and developing new content formats and webpage deigns to improve UX, to sourcing imagery and maintaining a database of visual assets). In addition to this, you will also take responsibility for developing creative visual solutions to enhance the agency output for clients, from bespoke reports, event materials presentations and identity creation. So, you will get variety!
Your folio should showcase your strong skills in visual communication - layout and typography, information graphics, and a strong use of image and photography - fundamentally you will be driven by design thinking and delivering not only great looking work, but work that makes sense.
You will have a minimum of 2+ years' experience, perhaps in a similar type of environment and now looking to take on more responsibility.
