About Games Workshop

Games Workshop is the largest and most successful hobby miniatures company in the world and has been making Citadel Miniatures for over 30 years. Set in the worlds of Warhammer Age of Sigmar and Warhammer 40,000 these miniatures are prized by collectors, modellers and gamers alike. As a highly vertically integrated company we do pretty much everything ourselves. Why? Because we are obsessed with the quality of our products and services!

About the Job

Do you want to produce engaging packaging that strikes an emotional chord with our customers and clearly communicates the key features of our products?

Are you passionate about Citadel Miniatures and designing high quality packaging? Are you excited by the challenge of effectively showcasing the sculpted detail, quality and character of every Citadel Miniature in a way that will engage customers?

You will have a keen, creative eye for detail, strong composition skills and be able to collaborate effectively to reach the best design solutions. You must be driven to manage your own time responsibly, ensuring you deliver all your work to the exacting standards expected and to the agreed schedule.

You will be working from initial design concepts through to artwork completion, where you will prepare finished artwork for print. Experience with retouching and artwork production would be an advantage. You will have strong communication skills and will work closely with the photographic studio where you will provide art direction. You must also be willing to appropriately challenge processes and implement improvements to increase productivity.

You should also have experience and be proficient working with the following software:

  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe Indesign
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Mac OSX

We know what makes this job hard is never being satisfied with the quality of your work whilst being able to deliver a large volume of packaging to print on time.

Working at Games Workshop

At Games Workshop we are looking for people who will do their best to understand the needs of the company and to put those needs first when they are at work. Because of this we believe that what you are like, hence the attitude you show to work and the way you choose to behave is even more important than your skills or experience.

How to Apply

The most important thing we require is a letter telling us why you want this job. We select candidates for interview on the content of their letters. We also require you to submit a small portfolio of your work that is relevant to the job and that showcase your ability (PDF or jpegs, no more than five attachments) via the Apply button. This is a great opportunity for you to let us know that you understand what we are looking for.

No letter, no interview.
