Design and Projects Manager - Product Engineering
A Design and Projects Manager is sought by this designer and manufacturer of seating for auditorium and concourse venues. They offer a wide range of market focused and design-led products delivering prestigious projects both in the UK and overseas.
This role involves the day-to-day management of departmental issues; delivering project design proposals; managing the production of prototypes and samples; project managing the expectations of each job and leading the design and project team.
The successful candidate will need to have a high degree of capability in design (preferably in a furniture related area), project management and customer liaison.
Other requirements are:
- Degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Product Design with a strong technical bias and experience in building interior products / furniture.
- Qualification or extensive experience in Project Management.
- 5 years experience of successfully managing a design team and delivering complex projects.
- Strong knowledge to industry standard of 2D and 3D CAD; preferably SolidWorks and AutoCAD and the ability to present design proposals.
