A distinctive London based international luxury interior design practice who have built up a reputation of creating interiors that are elegant, dynamic and infused with passion and creativity, are looking for an experienced Interior Designer to join their talented and friendly team. The projects range from high-end residential to hotels, spas and restaurants, forming an intelligent and sophisticated portfolio of work.

Key day-to-day tasks of the Interior Designer include:

  • Design and develop elements on large scale projects under the guidance of a Project Leader
  • Act as Project Leader on a portfolio of smaller scale projects, fully develop design, manage team and see through to fruition
  • Check that thorough administrative records are being maintained
  • Produce project programme, monitor finances, timesheets and resources
  • Check schedules and design intent package to ensure brief is being met
  • Design and cost up FF&E projects in line with brief
  • Review and check FF&E design, furniture plans and pricing on major projects ready for sign off
  • Develop project knowledge and technical skills
  • Identify successful details and lessons from projects
  • Develop project knowledge, attend trade fairs and attend supplier meetings

Key attributes of the Interior Designer include:

  • Extremely creative with a strong eye for design and commercial awareness of the market
  • A clear understanding of luxury and detail
  • 5+ year's experience in the high-end international residential sector
  • Hard working, conscientious and highly organised approach with an eye for detail
  • An extensive knowledge of F,F & E suppliers
  • Ability to free hand sketch and to do perspective drawing
  • Ability to interface with clients interpreting and delivering their requirements
  • An approachable and professional manner with clients and suppliers and ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Passion, drive and flair for design and a capacity for innovation and forward thinking to deliver exceptional results
  • Knowledge of technical design and competent in AutoCAD/Vectorworks
  • Working knowledge of SketchUp and Microsoft Office
  • Well organised, assertive and presentable with a can do and down to earth attitude
  • Ability to multi-task/ be involved in several projects at once
