We are looking for ambitious designers to join our talented design team, who share a similar passion in all we do - in and out of the studio. You will have creative instinct, safe hands and design thinking and want to make a difference with a desire to up your game and the inspire the design team and all who work with us.
You will be working across our holistic product design approach, including experience design, look and feel guidelines, product range architecture, brand and product visions, design exploration, strategy, concept generation, design development, prototyping, visions, front end innovation and concept cars. You will collaborate with a wider network of first class engineers, in-house design teams, manufacturers, brand gurus, illustrators and digital developers to bring products to life.
You’ll have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of sectors including, food and drink, confectionery, home care, beauty and personal care, pet care, telecommunications, domestic appliances, office products and travel. Every project requires a different approach and we simply need more creative minds, practical hands and design talent on-board to help keep our clients super happy.
Senior Product Design Consultant, Matter, Bath, UK
If you are a Senior Product Designer with an extraordinary eye for detail, creative thinking and brand understanding, then apply. Successful candidates will be energetic individuals with infectious creativity who display real passion and pride in all aspects of their work. We expect you to be incredibly self-motivated and work independently and integrate with our design team and our clients, in all aspects of the design process. You will require a resourceful ‘can do’ attitude and a ‘hands on’ approach, balanced with advanced 2D and 3D skills and manufacturing awareness, to help effectively communicate your thinking and drive even the most challenging of briefs to market.
5+ years successful consultancy/FMCG experience will be an advantage – creative and strategic thinking essential, good humour, project management and people skills are a must. More importantly we need people we like, who will inspire and mentor the design team and embrace this opportunity to be heavily involved in continuing to push the team and our work at Matter.
Product Design Associate, Matter, Bath, UK
If you haven’t 5+ years experience, we are also looking for a Product Design Associate (middleweight) with the ambition and drive to be Senior. The ideal candidate will have 3+ successful consultancy/FMCG experience years and bring fresh ideas to our already lively studio. We’re not looking for a fully rounded designer, this we know will develop, but a designer that has natural design talent with the desire to learn. Successful candidates for this role will be creative energetic individuals with a real passion for design and a natural eye for detail. You will require a resourceful practical ‘hands on’ approach and a first class ability to talk about and visualise your design thinking. A great understanding of 2D and 3D CAD tools will also be an advantage
