Who We Are
Founded in 2004, four23 came to life as a multidisciplinary studio, bringing creativity, insight, strategy and craftsmanship to a diverse range of clients, delivering creative projects for clients including global organisations adidas, Oakley and Virgin - arts and charitable institutions - the Belarus Free Theatre, Medici Quartet and Graeae Theatre Company - and for individuals including Olympic athlete Mo Farah and Oscar winning actor Kevin Spacey.
What We Do
A multidisciplinary structure was at the core of four23 from the outset and the blurring of disciplines and crafts enables us to seamlessly combine graphic design, moving image, spatial design, writing, photography and digital media. Making such broad creative strokes is an approach that has taken a number of years and a great deal of thought and experimentation to evolve and refine. We’ve proven that by aligning creative freedom and communications expertise with in-house craft and technical know-how, we can leverage the talents of our team to deliver integrated, comprehensive and coherent strategy for clients and collaborators.
Recently we have designed logos for an Olympic champion and the world’s largest fundraising event, shot film with Kevin Spacey at the Old Vic, been shortlisted in an international architecture competition, researched with a world leading Business School, created animations for Snell & Wilcox, engineered a touring sustainability museum with START, created brands for a Swiss private bank and the UK’s leading disability led theatre company, celebrated the Originals of London in a major outdoor campaign, curated exhibitions, cloaked Covent Garden in a 3D projection for Oakley, taken over the high street at the Edinburgh Fringe with Virgin Money, photographed the best footballer in the world at the Barcelona Olympic Stadium, created a multichannel digital launch for adidas, designed websites for the Belarus Free Theatre and Mo Farah, written scripts and articles, created an audio-visual installation for Samsung, toured the world to document Richard III, illustrated cartoon strips for Virgin Money Giving, developed a mobile app for Stella McCartney, produced live TV with Shaun White, helped define the meaning of Original Modern with Peter Saville, created a naming architecture for LogicaCMG, produced print graphics for the Palazzina Grassi in Venice and gone Beyond Reason with Mark Cavendish.
As a busy creative studio it’s essential to the success of our project delivery that we run as smoothly and efficiently as possible. We would like to bring in a full time member of staff to manage the delivery of our digital projects. This role exists to make sure that our digital projects happen on time, within budget, and to the highest standard. You will be responsible for overseeing successful delivery and achieving client objectives regarding scope, quality, timing and budget, as well as providing valuable input internally to maintain and constantly improve the overall level of our digital expertise. Projects will range from the delivery of websites and microsites, to the inventive application of social networks, smart apps and iPhone and iPad apps. In the past twelve months we’ve built a styling app for Stella McCartney, created a Europe-wide in-store photo booth that rolled out across an online animated Facebook gallery. We’ve designed and built websites for Mo Farah, Christine Ohuruogu and the Kevin Spacey Foundation and created live Instagram and Twitter projection feeds for Oakley Europe. Most recently we have worked on the brand positioning and programming for a new online sports channel.
You will have worked in a digital project management role for a minimum of 3 years, and have an expert understanding of digital methodologies, processes, solutions and how they work. You will have experience in planning and organising project plans and production schedules – organising resources, compiling project timelines, and managing budgets. Organisational skills Internally you will make sure that all jobs have clear briefs, schedule progress meetings, provide updates and identify and manage any potential issues. You will plan for both the short and long term. However, your plans need to be fluid and you need to be comfortable responding to and managing ever-changing priorities. You will be highly organised, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple projects. These attributes will help you and your team to deliver quality work to tight deadlines.
As Digital Project Manager you will act as an interface between the client and internal teams. You will manage projects from brief through to completion and review. You will be technically savvy enough to understand the technical terms used by developers in order to translate them into a language that the client will understand. Good UX experience is key, you will have an original take on UX practices – using your knowledge to build concepts around client’s needs. To be successful in this role you need to actively offer solutions not simply raise issues, you will work with the team to identify development opportunities for new and existing digital developments. You will have a thorough understanding of digital delivery processes and financial systems within an agency environment, taking tasks from scoping stage through to fully costed and managed projects.
You will be ready to anticipate and support the activities of the rest of the team and work effectively and cooperatively with others. You will demonstrate that you value others’ input and expertise and are willing to learn from others. You thrive working collaboratively and really enjoy the creative process. Learning ability You will be excited by the changing digital landscape and constantly searching for new knowledge, technologies and trends. You will be keen to learn and use your knowledge to improve your performance and that of four23. You will ensure the correct use of project systems whilst developing and improving your own procedures and be proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement. This is primarily a client-facing role and must have excellent communication skills, presenting a confident, assured manner when presenting to clients or talking in group meetings. You will ensure that clients are also proactively managed and know the status of the project at all times. You will keep the company Directors fully briefed regarding progress, issues and communications. You will have impeccable written and verbal communication skills, able to lead meetings and give our clients confidence in our high standard of project delivery. You will be a keen networker and able to develop positive relationship with clients & freelancers and be professional and competent in your management of our collaborators.
