Creative Services Artwork Manager
We are looking for a talented Creative Services Artwork Manager to join the Philips Consumer Lifestyle team. This is a pivotal role in a very busy team, which is often faced with quick turnaround times, but still being able to deliver accurately, on time and to the highest standard across multiple brands.
The Creative Services Artwork Manager will be responsible for managing and tracking the workflow for all in-house creative requirements, as well as getting hands on and delivering the day to day artwork requirements, as briefed by the Trade Marketing team.
Artwork requirements range from online banners to bespoke retail POS materials, catalogue pages, 3D display units and other print collateral; supporting all consumer lifestyle categories which ranges from shavers and grooming products to mother and childcare, domestic appliances and lifestyle entertainment.
The Creative Services Artwork Manager will be responsible for:
- Managing the creative services workload, including scheduling, tracking & reporting on a weekly basis.
- Accurately estimating time required to complete jobs and delivering on time, every time.
- Prioritising schedules in line with business needs, anticipating bottle necks and managing stakeholder expectations through clear communication.
- Ensuring all creative services projects run smoothly, are checked for accuracy and are delivered to the highest standard.
- Creating artwork for printed retail POS materials, FSDU’s, catalogue pages and online banners.
- Working closely with Senior Design Manager to take design concept scamps through to print ready artwork.
- Working closely with Production agency to ensure high quality design is reflected in high quality print.
- Maintaining a library of internally created materials and guidelines.
We are looking for a middleweight individual experienced in creative artwork, with a creative flair and a high level of technical ability (you must be able to work with or without direction from the Senior Design Manager). You will have advanced software skills (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe and Microsoft Office) and have faultless attention to detail and ability to interpret retailer guidelines. Previous experience of managing resources in a business environment is essential (prioritizing own and Senior Design Manager work plans and resources to ensure delivery of objectives).
You will also need to have excellent project management skills (managing multiple projects with competing priorities, stakeholders and tight deadlines) and strong communications skills with an ability to interpret, challenge and develop briefs, but also to be able to take constructive criticism and feedback from others. In addition we are after an individual with great enthusiasm and drive for excellence (continually challenging existing ways of working to raise performance standards) with a methodical approach to work and ability to work well under pressure is essential. Previous experience working on Argos catalogue pages and retail POS; as well as knowledge of print production processes preferred. You will need to demonstrate your skills and abilities in a personal portfolio.
