Intuitive, beautifully designed and pixel perfect graphic interfaces are more than decoration; they are a representation of our brand and the experience of being one of our customers. So talented digital designers and UX planners are more in demand than ever, especially at Barclaycard.
Our design and UX experts have set the bar very high, producing digital work that wins customers and awards. It’s ground-breaking, world-class stuff. Better still, now that we’re adding to our digital team, there are fantastic opportunities to create waves, precedents and more alongside people of your own high calibre. We’re currently recruiting across the board from designers and UX planners, through to a Head of Interaction Design to lead the team.
As one of our designers, you’re going to have plenty to do in a team that concentrates on producing design interface assets, working from design specifications and wireframes, supporting digital concept development, adding design insight to the creative proves. The focus is on making the user interface engaging, intuitive, simple and slick. Which won’t be too big an ask for an established designer, whether you have a year or two’s experience or you’re looking for a more senior position.
You’ll need to impress us with your knowledge of interaction design practices, methodologies and production, and you should be able to demonstrate your understanding of branding and marketing in the digital arena through your work. You’ll be able to combine solid design expertise with the ability to take creative leaps.
If you’re at a very senior level and are keen to lead and mentor more junior members of the team to drive our creative offering forward, our Head of Interaction Design role will give you the challenge you’re looking for. You’ll take ownership of our interaction design output, reviewing and challenging the creative delivery, managing the design team and the allocation of resources and driving continued professional development and skills within your team.
Join us as a UX Planner, and you’ll develop customer interaction designs across online, mobile and other digital interfaces, providing a clear design specification for our development teams. Giving us full specifications for user journeys and interactions, you’ll support change initiatives ranging from small change to large-scale projects, as well as liaising with external agencies.
You’ll need a clear understanding of branding, strategic and marketing considerations, particularly in the digital arena, and knowledge and experience of interaction design principles and techniques.
Whether you’re a first or second jobber, an established creative or a design leader, this is a chance to make an impression in a team that’s set to achieve great things.
